Tim Waits and Delia Miller Waits have been married for 18 years and have two chldren. They have lived in their home in Millersburg for over twelve years. Carrie is 13 and is in the seventh grade at Fairfield Junior High School. She enjoys playing basketball and volleyball, snging, playing the clarinet and piano, and reading. Emily is 10 and is in the fifth grade at Millersburg Elementary. She enjoys playing volleyball and basketball, singing, playing the flute and piano, reading, and playing with her friends. They also enjoy playing with their poodle, Sparky. Delia enjoys hiking, camping and playing music. Tim likes to play the guitar, hike in the woods, fly kites, work on old cars, grow flowers, and eat pie.
Tim and Delia both graduated from Bethany Seminary in the 80's. He served as a Church of the Brethren pastor in Sheldon, IA and North Webster, IN. He recently left a position as chaplain and pastoral educator at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. He had also ministered for three years at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. Tim grew up in southern Ohio, east of Cincinnati, and graduated with a degree in Agriculture from Berea College in Berea, KY.
Delia is a social worker and Admissions Coordinator at Greencroft Health Care in Goshen. She completed her Master of Social Work at Western Michigan University in 2002. She did her undergraduate work at Manchester College and the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay. She also has a degree in Peace Studies from Bethany Seminary, where she and Tim met.
